Starfish Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather. Needless to say, this has been an extraordinary end to our Pre-K year. We normally do a big graduation ceremony for our Starfish Graduates, and while we are limited in what we can do this year, we still want to mark this achievement and transition. We will be holding a graduation ceremony next Saturday (June 27) at the Gazebo at Veterans Memorial Track and Field (right around the corner from the school). While we’d love to get everyone together for a big (but socially distant) ceremony, we want to be sensitive to everyone’s comfort level and don’t want to exclude any of our wonderful families. Therefore, we will be doing individual graduation mini-ceremonies for each family. Each graduate will walk up and receive their Diploma from their teachers, will have a graduation picture taken in their cap and gown, and have some time to dance and be silly with the Teachers. We will then create a video/slideshow of the entire class and share it. While this is far from the ceremony we’d like to have, we feel it strikes the right balance and will ensure maximum participation from our Starfish families.
Please use this link to sign up for a 15 min slot. We ask that you please be as prompt as possible. Next week you will be able to stop by the school to pick up a cap and gown. They can be returned at the end of the mini-ceremony.
We hope to see everyone on Saturday, June 27!
